Our series of 3D scanners
Our 3D scanners allow very high precision acquisition of tridimentional surfaces of the scanned objects utilizing white light technology. The production line is divided into three different models to best satisfy the customers' different needs.

- Optical RevEng LE: a structured light 3D scanner entry-level with fixed single scanning range;
- Optical RevEng QUAD: 3D scanner set with two different fixed scanning ranges for maximum flexibility;
- Optical RevEng DENTAL: 3D scanner specifically engineered for dental applications;
All our products can be integrated with the items in our accessory line.
With the 3D scanner one can also purchase the Geomagic Studio software which supply high performance tools for surface reconstruction and 3D scanning management, generating NURBS type surfaces, too.
Open Technologies s.r.l. also supply:
- on demand technical service on our products;
- advanced training courses relative to the use of our 3D scanners;
- advanced training courses relative to reverse engineering.
- 3D digitalization service and CAD modeling.

Use of the 3D scanner
With our 3D scanners it is possible to transform the physical
shape of any object into its 3D digital model. This model can be exported in standard format
(STL)
and can then be used in the immediate milling or in the rapid prototyping
to start the production of the original object.
The mathematical model obtained with our 3D digitizer can be processed in any CAD moulding environment: this considerably simplifies, for example, the difficult phase of mould creation.
The 3D scanner allows confrontation between the digitized object
and its mathematical model for dimension control:
from this confrontation the differences regarding to the original project arise
which can then be modified and adapted accordingly. Another application is the
restoration of art objects
and antiques by creating their 3D models and their subsequent reproduction.
The optical 3D digitalization techniques allow to quickly produce detailed digital
models of surfaces. Our optical 3D digitalization technology is called white light
and is the full range evolution of techniques based on lasers. The laser scanners
complete step by step the cloud through the acquisition of individual dots or profiles;
our optical 3D scanner simultaneously captures millions of points.
Versatility and mobility of 3D scanners
Our Optical RevEng 3D scanners are portable, they can therefore be easly moved or transported anywhere without compromising performance. This allows the consumer to perform the scans directly in case the object to acquire is difficult to move.
3D scanning speed
Average time is very contained: from 3 to 5 seconds based on the scanner 3D resolution. With such speed, an experienced user is able to acquire an object in few minutes.
No contact oprical 3D scanner
All the measurements performed with the 3d optical scanner are totally no contact: the surface of the object is not physically touched or modified to carry out the measuring process, as it happens for example with the feelers. This greatly speeds up the acquisition process.
3D scanner output files
The available exit file formats are: STL, OOGL, OBJ, VRML, 3DS, sezioni IGES.
3D scanner user friendliness
The Optical RevEng 3D scanners are extremely simple to use because the do not require any adjustment procedures; once the Optical RevEng software is installed, just connect the USB and VGA cables to the computer: the tool is immediately recognized and used.
