No contact 3D scanning

3D scanning can be useful in solving problems of reverse engineering, object, tools or spare parts engineering where there is no original digital description of the product. Moreover, it solves the problem of transferring complex shape surfaces in digital form, including art shapes.

With our 3D optical technology, we can acquire the space coordinates of millions of points belonging to the scanned surface; such quantity of data represents with great accuracy the portion of the scanned object and it is called "point cloud". Thanks to the flexibility of our systems one can perform 3D scans of objects with dimensions ranging from few millimeters to a meter. In the case of objects too difficult to move, the 3D scanning activity can be carried out directly at the customer's place.

CAD moulding

Mould The resulting point cloud represents the starting point to go from the real object to its exact model. The latter is obtained through subsequent data processing phases with reverse engineering and CAD software; the process is completed with the re engineering of the detail surfaces defining its structural interfaces and characteristics to prepare for the production of the final moulds and models. Our company offers a complete range of 3D moulding for all the engineering sectors, including design and automotive.


Metrologic service

The 3D scan we realize enables different applications in the metrologic field: the precision of our 3D scanners allows to perform accurate metrologic checks on the manufactured parts. The scan result can be used to compare the size of the real manufactured object with its 3D original model: this metrologic analysis points out the deviations between the real object and the engineered model checking manufacturing precision. This dimensional check points out any distance, linearity and roundness errors, knowing that all these measurements are all within certain limits enables to establish if the detail can be correctly assembled with the others. Also a quality check process can be performed on production samples in order to establish if the chain of the produced parts is in conformity with all the project and realization specifications. This type of check can be performed with specific software such as Geomagic Qualify.
